Google Reader

(This photo captures how I feel about the subject of this blog.)

I'm writing this blog to be educational for those of you who used to be like me... I had a list of "favorites" that I clicked through every day just hoping that today would be the day that each of my friends would post the best blog ever.  The hope.  The disappointment.  The anxiety.  The misery.  NO MORE!

If you don't have a gmail account, it's time to join the 2000's and get one.  And then you can load all your blogs as "subscriptions" and whenever you go to the page, Google Reader will SHOW YOU ALL THE NEW BLOGS!!!!!!!  It's like God's gift to blogging, I tell you.

Now in every good thing, there must be a few bad.  This is what I've found and if you know solutions to any of these, please let me know!!
- You can't add subscriptions to blogs that require you to log in
- You can't see your friends' pretty backdrops unless you go to their pages
- If a blog has a dark background and light font, it shows up as light font on your page so you may have to tilt your screen to read something that's in grey.  i.e. This happens with Katrina's blog... but it's worth the read every time so I do it!
- Sometimes, social sites like socialitelife.com (one of my faves) will change their site so you can only see the intro to the article or you can't see the pictures.  Dirty bloggers are trying to lure you to their site because of their advertisers.

Other than those few things... reading blogs is SO much easier now!  And if you know of any other blogs I need to be checking in on... because it's JUST SO EASY... tell me!

p.s. this is the first time I've put links in my blog!  GO ME.

Bradley says she comments less when she reads through GR because you don't see the comment section. As a blogger who LOVES getting comments that is the only disadvantage I see. XOXO

Oops...I didn't realize that was going to post under my mom's name...I'm at her house.

LOL. I was so confused! I still go comment if I want to, I just click on the page and go do it. But yes.... that could be a negative. And I think we should write Google and give them a piece of our minds!

Aren't you proud of me for blogging again!!

p.s. I was going to be HYYYYPED if your momma had a blog!!!

that is the best pic ever. period. hands down. can you fax me some ice cream with fudge sauce?

LOL! Some ice cream... preferably cookies and cream or rocky road sound AWESOME right now.

you know what's so freaking great about this pic.... it's in a totally random and losery bar in austin. The dance floor.... is a water tank. And there are tiny sharks in the tank. And we DANCE ON IT. Now... the worst thing is that the first time they tried to set up the tank all the sharks died and the people dumped them in the dumpsters in the back. And Austin PETA got after them.

And I, who COULD NOT CARE LESS, danced on top of the new sharks many many times.

I feel so special that you mentioned me, so I guess I will give it the old college try and set it up because you are one of my favs.

Also, I did not know that you knew Lauren Barab Solomon! She and I are buddies :)
