Somersizing It Up.

For the last 5 years, I've basically been eating and drinking whatever I want and not really working out except for stints of crash diets here and there.  I've just been having fun.  But at the expense of my bod.  SO... it's time.  Time for change!  Time for discipline!  Time for a diet!

I did a diet after my first semester of my Freshman year at Aggies and lost 12 lbs in a month doing this diet so I'm doing it again.  Basically it's a way of cutting out "funky foods" (potatoes, corn, white flour, sugar, alcohol (obvs), etc) and then combining foods so they digest efficiently in your body.  It's a diet by Suzanne "Thigh Master" Somers.  And she says it's NOT a diet.  It's a way of LIFE!  So... we'll start with phase one of losing the weight and then get into maintenance phase.

All this is to say... if we hang out in the next few weeks, I'm avoiding the booze and the chips and the queso and all the fatness that goes along with it.  And I appreciate and welcome your encouragement!!!

Time to get myself back.  GO ME!

*I don't even HAVE a pic to post of what I'd like to look like... it was so long ago!  So... if you were at my wedding, just think of that except in normal clothes.  :)

Suzanne Somers. The book is called "Eat Great, Lose Weight." Seriously... will take off that last 10 lbs. This is what I did the Christmas break between first and second semesters of Freshman year! Remember when I came back and had lost like 12 lbs? And I hadn't worked out at all! Get it girl! :)

FYI - Update on progress - I'm down 3.5 lbs this week just from eating.

And I did have 3 bites of Daniel's Raspberry souflee on his birthday AND a couple glasses of wine so I didn't totally deprive myself. But other than that, no drinks this week and I've done yoga twice and am about to start walking. So... I'm doing good!
